Our Tree Planting program is now up and running and we have already donated 50 trees this month. We will be donating 1 tree for every 10sqm of cladding installed and our employees have also offered to donate out of their wages. We will be running this program through Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund (CNCF) who are currently planting biodiverse native trees in rural Australia in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor.
Each tree is purchased and planted through CNCF who specialise in biodiverse conservation plantings using trees and shrubs that are native to the region that will regenerate the natural landscape protecting Australia’s environment for future generations. Landscape restoration and broad scale native tree planting is essential to prevent Australia losing large proportions of its biologically and evolutionarily unique fauna and flora. Additionally, trees are major players in carbon sequestration (storage). CNCF works on some of the largest native tree planting projects in Australia. Since 2006 CNCF has planted over 4.2 million native trees across 3000 hectares.
Stay tuned as we will be sharing more information about this initiative including a Q&A with Wainwright Facades employee Matty Cole.
If you have any questions or suggestions, we would love to hear from you.
