July Newsletter 2022

41 July Newsletter Header.jpg

As you might be aware, we haven’t been doing our beloved newsletter for a of couple months. We have been so busy with new works starting and old jobs finishing, it has been all hands on deck to try and keep up with demand. But we are back with the newsletter this month, so you can see what we have been doing for the last couple months.

Manhattan apartments progress

We have been working tirelessly on our biggest job to date; re-cladding the Manhattan apartments in the city centre. We are replacing 8000m2 of combustible cladding with complaint Alpolic NC which is being supplied by Network Architectural. With 334 apartments, we are working closely with Project Coordination to get in and out of apartments as efficiently and quietly as possible. All of the old panels are being re-cycled by Panel Cycle. Keep an eye out for us when you are next in the city.

We have recently secured the contract to re-clad the Vikings club in Erindale. We will work with Projex to remove all combustible cladding and replace with Vitradual cladding that will be supplied by FVA Group. Work will be commencing in August and we can’t wait to get started.

8th Birthday (newsletter).jpg

Wainwright Facades turns 8!!

We have just celebrated another year in business and reached our eighth year! Starting back in 2014 with just founder Joseph Wainwright, we have evolved into a very different company to where we started. Joseph Wainwright had this to say;

“8 years is a long time to be in business and to be brutally honest this last year has been by far the hardest yet. Covid played a huge part in disrupting not only the construction industry, but every industry. Covid caused everyone to have a lot of time off and there were a lot of hours lost. When you couple that with rising material costs and most of construction working to fixed lump sum contracts, to see light at the end of the tunnel is a very nice feeling. Anyone who has managed to navigate their way through this period in business should give themselves a pat on the back.

As we begin to start again in the wake of Covid I feel the next big issue will be the labour shortage here in Australia so I’ll use this to implore anyone who knows anyone who is interested in starting a career in the industry to get in touch.

But all campaigning aside, I would like to thank everyone we have ever worked for, for all the support you have shown over the years to keep coming back to us. Thanks to everyone who has donated trees and anyone that has ever put in a good word for us. But the biggest thanks goes to all the employees who joined this endeavour with me and work hard day in day out to keep the dream alive. Without you we wouldn’t be where we are, but more importantly, we wouldn’t have the good times we have at work. Here’s to the year ahead.”
